The presidents of Türkiye's jewellers' chambers and associations, who met in Antalya the previous year, came together in Trabzon this year. President İsmail Karagöz also attended the meeting, at which the problems of the sector and of production were discussed.
At the meeting, it was decided to unite all jewellers' chambers and associations under a single organisation. It was announced that the aim is to submit the prepared draft law to Parliament.
President Karagöz stated that a new era would begin in the sector once the draft becomes law, and said that the 2018 meeting is planned to be held in Konya.
